I am too ill and upset to be here at present & it is wiser that I should go away at least for a week or two, until you feel that you can treat me with more consideration & kindness.

I have borne much as you must know, & now for a little while you will have time to reflect upon all.

You seem all along to have forgotten that I am a woman & not a dock labourer.

My feelings towards you will never alter because when I have once given my love I can never take it back – but I cannot stay here just at present for I feel very ill and strangely nervous of you.
