Dear Georgie,

So far as I can at present tell we have got here without much damage being done to things; But I experienced a fearful disappointment in the house. The floors were in just the same state as when we were here together. The windows are simply shocking, dirt & filth are everywhere prevalent, tho front bedroom has been papered & the kitchen; but tho two back rooms are disgraceful as is also the hall & front sitting room. The paint throughout is very dirty & covered in many places with fly specks. The venetian blinds also require to be taken down & new ladder. The one pleasant surprise was to find…..
