Saturday
My Darling Old Mannie,
Yours to hand this morning. Thank you very much for the trouble you’ve taken over the toothache stuff. It didn’t trouble me at all yesterday for the first time since here; but I declare this morning, when I saw the stuff, it began to ache again. I am sorry about your collar dear, but I sent word that they were to come home LAST WEDNESDAY NIGHT. However she lives at 27 Seaford Road, on Mrs Binghams side, nearer the school.
He, that is the boy & I were down early this morning before ½ past 7 for I felt certain of a letter; so asked Larter to fetch the parcel, but when he went it was not there, so the boys have now gone again for it, this morning Mrs Larter has been very nice, she would give me anything, funny woman. Larter is a very nice man. Last night when she was out, he came and asked me if I were lonely & talked some time. He promised to take me out driving on Sunday. Several times when he has been talking to me, Mrs L has threatened to write to you! If only she knew!!! She wouldn’t think I wanted HER leavings.
Well dear, the boy’s as happy as possible - + pretty & good into the bargain. This morning about ¼ to 6, he bounded up in bed & sat laughing at me in that arch little way of his. I kissed him for you & wished him many happy returns & cried a little too. The people who want to come want to board as they will be profitable lodgers. Still Mrs L doesn’t exactly want to get rid of me, but is anxious to

//lose no time between. I shall come on Wednesday dear of a duck, if you will let me. It’s quite long enough to be away. I went to see the Garrolds yesterday. The old man has spoken to two good girls but they want to go to London. “Afraid” the old man says in great scorn.
I am now going to ask Larter about the trap, though I don’t think he might to charge anything.
In your next tell me EXACTLY WHAT TO DO & I’ll do it. Do not SUGGEST anything, but say definitely what you would wish be done

//time of trains etc.
You must please send me some money. I’ve about ,17/. Now so shant want much, there will be the fare, rent & the EXTRAS.
Goodbye duckie dear, fondest love & kisses from both.
Your loving wife Georgie
P.S. parcel has come. Boy playing with his ball, what a pretty one. Drive Southwold tomorrow, Perhaps Yarmouth Monday. Larter ‘s charge for trap 4/- Dreadful!

// - indicated separate pieces of paper that is believed to be part of letter
