Thursday 1 / 2 October 1894

My dearest Georgie,

You will think the old mater has soon turned up again (hoping that you got a letter from me alright yesterday morning early) well do you know my dear that I was in such an awful hurry when I wrote it that I scarcely know what I said. I wanted Win to rush to the post the moment she came in for fear of loosing it, I was so afraid you would be looking out for ****  and elsie. I have been thinking and dreaming of you all night so I feel this morning as if I want to be talking to you. Well if you had been on Seven Sisters I should have come over this morning I like to SEE YOU, its better than all the letter writing I****  Which? Well we must be content I suppose with the next best thing A LETTEER; how I wish I could get you nearer to us, I am wondering if you have got any help yet dear ****  I don’t know what is coming to servants nowadays. Pa was over at Jacksons the other evening, and because this I could not spare ONE girl – for an outing at a minutes notice, the other one took offence too, so they both started off together without any further notice and left them in the lurch, to do the best they could.

In our last night paper there were 9 or 10 servants advertised for several of them near to us ever **** Soon. I wish I’ve known someone of our own who could come, whom you could trust to look after dear Artie. You see there are ONLY Aunt Emilies girls, ever even they are in GOOD PLACES so Amy says. I wish my Emmies little Florrie was about – you - & she would be just the thing. She is made to mind and be good, I can tell you. You would sure to love her I shall come over as soon as I can manage it. I say I widh the school & House was ONLY 10 minutes from Romford Station YOU and I could make a PRETTY place of it. I daresay things would grow well if properly cared for (in the garden I mean)

But Oh dear those 3 ½ miles and no pony ride is really cruch. My dear old Georgie if you have not written to Mr Isill DON’T YOU THINK YOU HAD BETTER LET PA DRAFT OUT A LETTER FOR YOU. You see he knows what he has said to him before, and it would not look well to get mixed up. Perhaps he might make an APPOINTMENT with you to see him – (Pa can’t sell the house for him YET) Win was saying there are some fine RA schools about Acton & Chiswick and near here, there 600 infants in the Greabe school Acton. How nice it would be to have you run home often and no worry with it, no ONLY HIM to know. I feel so lonely today.

**scribble on top of letter**

I say don’t forget to send the pupil teachers name and address. Its something to fall back on. You know I am so unhappy if I don’t hear of you. Hope you have fell in with a nice girl by now. If not, why not advertise in paper.

Write soon, I can’t bear to be where I can’t come or run and see you quickly. Kiss dear Artie for us. Wish we had him here. We would take him out to see some nice things for he is so intelligent. Bless him.

Try and come home soon, always love to see you.
